Abstract EN

This research paper seeks to shed light to the phenomenon of women's voluntary work from the point of view of women involved, by focusing their views about motivations and obstacles of voluntary work, a field study of some charities in the Wilaya of Adrar.

The study started from a main question: What are the motives and obstacles of women's voluntary work? The questionnaire was used as a basic tool for gathering information from the study Society.

The study was also based on a comprehensive survey technique for all volunteers involved in some voluntary active associations in The Wilaya of Adrar.

They are estimated at 70 volunteers .The Three associations, respectively, are: Hamsset Amal Association, Adrar Nasse Elkheir Association, Adar Kafel elyatim Association.

The results of the study revealed that one of the most prominent motivations of volunteerism is religious motivation, followed by the desire to help and serve others.

Among the social obstacles to women's participation in voluntary work were the lack of encouragement from society, as well as the prevalence of certain customs and traditions that conflicted with women's exit from employment.

The study pointed out that the most prominent organizational obstacles that hinder the participation of women in voluntary work is the lack of institutions and bodies that support women's voluntary work.

The results also showed that the most important impediments to the self are the preoccupation with official work to provide a living, in addition to the large number of family responsibilities.
