The disaster had a great effect on exploring the poetic talent of Mahmood Darweesh and deepening his experience through employing the humanitarian heritage so that his poetry is considered as the changing point in the Arab poetry in its structure or content.

moreover, the poet’s love to his country reflects his duration to land which has its significance.

besides that, his love for the woman is equal to the land.

in spite of the poet’s sufferings he was not pessimistic in his poetry but on the contrary the disaster made him more resistant and challenging.
