Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the role of the Parliament in the formation of the executive authority in the Jordanian Constitutional System, which adopted the parliamentary system's pillars through an executive authority which consists of two parties: the first one is the country's president represented by the King and the second is the Government, which is responsible for the administration of the country's affairs and is responsible before the Parliament.

The study concluded that the Constitution and through Article 28 authorized the Parliament to undertake various constitutional tasks regarding the mandate of the King such as the mechanism by which the King assumes his constitutional authorities and other conditions that may arise during the King’s mandate.

The study recommended that it is necessary to revise Article 28 of the Jordanian Constitution to address some of the problems associated with the scope and authority of the Parliament in this context.
