The purpose of this paper is to highlight the crucial management elements of several water sector systems in middle eastern countries, namely Jordan, Israel with Gaza strip as a detailed case study.
USA as a developed country has been studied for comparison purposes.
management of water sector (WS) has been studied to reach an evaluation model to cover the following dimensions/activities; macro and micro planning, needs identification, design, operation, maintenance, evaluation, legislation, financing, awareness, institutional responsibilities matrices and standards among other elements.
at the end of this paper an environmental infrastructure management model for water sector in the Gaza strip, has been introduced with the needed justifications.
