Abstract EN

This research approaches icon in the poetry of martyr Sayed Qutup (1906–1966 )depending on his critical theory in icon which he applied its splendor through the Holy Quran.

The study has summed up the following notes and results : - He depended in building his theory on his wide imagination, sensitive taste, deep sensation, critical consciousness and fertile romance which was described as obvious and comprehensive.

- There's an outstanding presence of personification in Sayed Qutup's poetry.

- Abstract personification was more representative than the materialistic one since it has a level of about 46 % - Qutup complied with the technique of perceptive imagination through expecting the coming action through quick imaginationary movements and the one that particular expression establishes.

- In his poetic stories, Qutup gave a regulate drawing to his characters, thanks to his creative iconing method.

- Qutup adopted different shapes of homogeneous technique.

For example, coordination between expression and context and the ability of pronunciation to portray images.
