Abstract EN

The origin of the tribe of Kunta goes back to ibn NafT al-Fihri, and the origin of the name is attributed to their grandfather, Sidi Mohammed al-Kinti, the eldest son of Sidi Ali, relative to the grandfather of his mother Kent, and the sons of Shaykh Sidi Ahmed al-Bakkay, the son of Sidi Mohammed al-Kinti, In the African continent, the tribe has mobilized the banner of ad-da’wa, the call to God, to establish religious schools, and spread science, and to benefit from scientists, and accompany them in different countries.

This led to the adoption of the Qadiriyah Brotherhood, which was taken by Shaykh Sidi Umar al-Shaykh from Sidi Muhammad ibn Abdul-Karim al-Maghili.

They worked to spread al-Qadiriyah Brotherhood and established schools.

Amongst these schools, al-Reggadiya School in Zawyet Kunta in the South of Algeria, which was founded by Shaykh Sidi Ahmed El-Reggadi Ben Sidi Muhamad El-Reqqad Ibn Shaykh Sidi Umar Shaykh.

The school has since then played an important educational role.

That can be noticed in the curriculum-based gradual deal in the use of courses, and the elders’ accompanying to their students scientifically and educationally.
