أثر استخدام استراتيجية جيكسو (jigsaw)‎ في مستوى التحصيل الفوري و المؤجل في مقرر الاجتماعيات لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية في السعودية

Abstract EN

The study aimed to discover the effect of using Jigsaw strategy on the immediate and postponed achievement levelin the social studies course among high school students, of the second semester of the academic year 1439/1440 AH.

The study sample consisted of (40) first-grade high school students in Qaisumah High School in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate in the eastern region in Saudi Arabia, distributed on two equal groups, the first is an experimental group which is taught the social studies course topics using (Jigsaw) strategy, and the second is a control group that is studied by the regular education method .

Thestudy data was collected using an achievement test to measure the immediate and postponed effect achievement level.

When collecting data and analyzing it statistically, the following results were found : There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the overall marks of students due to the effect of teaching using the (Jigsaw) strategy on the immediate achievement and postponed level of the social studies course among high school students, and these differences are in favor of the experimental group .

In light of the results of the study, the researcher reached a set of recommendations, including: The need to train teachers to use the Jigsaw strategy in teaching, and motivate and encourage them to do so.

The study also recommended preparing the school in an integrated manner to use the Jigsaw strategy in classrooms.The study recommended interest in adding evidence in the sociology textbooks, including examples and models for (Jigsaw) strategy.

It also recommended conducting more research on the strategy of (Jigsaw) in the teaching of sociology and in teaching various scientific and theoretical disciplines and in all stages of public education (primary, intermediate, secondary).
