Abstract EN

This article answers two questions: how can we review the dictionary landscape through the insertion of proverbs? What extent can these proverbs contribute to the construction of the meaning of words in a dictionary? To answer these questions we suggest the necessity of exploring the lexicographic landscape and to add to the definition a lexicultural supplement, in this case, the insertion of expressions like "proverbs".

The idea is, not to replace (to substitute) the definition of a word by a proverb but to consolidate it with the insertions of proverb in the dictionary entries.

The proverb will illustrate the dictionary entries and contextualize them.

By using proverb, this would make it possible to meet the linguistic and cultural needs of the learner and / or reader, since this words (or the words defined) will be present (will be fond) in proverbs.

We will try to illustrate this vision of the dictionary landscape with examples and show this sense game which will be offered to us by that proverbs.
