The current research aims at identifying the effect of cooperative and competitive learning in the collection and retention of Arabic grammar among students in the fourth grade.

The researcher followed the procedures of the partial experimental method, the researcher randomly selected the cradle of the Prophets of the Prophets and the Directorate of Education Dhi Qar / Nasiriyah to be the sample of the research, the researchers rewarded between the research groups in some variables and the researchers controlled the variables extraneous (non-experimental) And the decrease in the influence of independent variables (cooperative learning, competitive learning).

The researchers prepared the research requirements if they prepare a collection test for collection and retention and the application of the experiment (9) weeks of the first semester of the academic year (2017 - 2018), the researcher began to apply The experiment was conducted on Thursday 16/11/2017 until Sunday, January 21, 2018.The results showed that the students of the experimental group who studied the Arabic grammar with competitive learning and their solutions ranked first, while the experimental group that studied cooperative learning ranked second , And the control group studied in the usual manner was ranked third in the collection and retention tests
