The current study aimed at designing a counseling program suitable for middle school students and applying them to them in order to reduce the degree of Internet addiction they have according to the scale of the study and to identify the impact of the proposed counseling program in alleviating the degree of addiction to the Internet for the study sample, the study was applied to students of the day school preparatory stage in Basrah Governorate.

Where the scale was applied to the fourth prepartory grade students in the masses' prep for boys to extract the stronghold prep to extract the experimental group, the sample consisted of (24) students distributed equally to (12) women who had high scores on an addiction scale .

The Internet used in the study , the semiexperimental approach was used, which depends on two groups that are equal with the pre and post test for them, and the application of the indicative program on the experimental group and not applied to the control group, the results indicated significant differences between the degrees of the members of the experimental group in the level of Internet addiction and its dimensions in the pre and post testing , as the study results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the members of the experimental group and the members of the control group in the level of Internet addiction in its most symptomatic post-measurement for the benefit of the members of the experimental group, and this is an indication of the impact of the indictive program and its effectiveness in reducing the degree of Internet addiction at Middle school students , the study recommended that educational counselors increase the interest of Internet addiction disorder with interest A clearance of recent behavioral disorder among students and benefit from the proposed study and others in the field of raising awareness of its harms and reducing their addiction level.
