الملخص EN

The present paper tackles one of the most common sociolinguistic phenomena that concern the individual's linguistic identity or personality, i.e.

idiosyncrasy or the linguistic print.

Every individual in any speech community is unique and idiosyncratic in the use and the fabrication of his/her language.

Nevertheless, some people are characterized by certain words or structures that have become a part of their linguistic identity due to the overuse and frequency of using such words or structures.

The current study is an attempt to shed light on such a phenomenon in Iraqi Arabic and to relate the structures to their social sources.

The research begins with some questions to be answered and puts the hypotheses.

The data were collected from different parts of Iraq depending on the researcher's observations, records, and interviews.

The data then classified and analyzed to set the findings on which the conclusions were built up.
