This research seeks to determine the reality of reading education in the second stage of primary education, in light of the improvements in the curricula of the second generation of the competency approach, starting from the school year 2017-2018, it provides a reading of this activity through the contents of the primary education curricula and the content of textbook.

and determining its location between the axes, and texts, and the linguistic activities associated with it, it also addresses the methodological framework for building its learning in this phase, revealing the most important obstacles that touched it.
