Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the computer teacher attitudes toward using social media in teaching computer and information technology course in the first-grade high school.

The study followed the descriptive approach, and the study population included (403) computer teachers in the educational administration in Jazan region, and the sample included (196) computer teacher from both genders were selected randomly.

A questionnaire was designed to measure computer teacher attitudes.

The results indicated that computer teachers have a positive attitude toward using social media in teaching computer and information technology course.

The results also indicated that the computer teacher attitudes towards using the social media are similar regardless of their gender, educational level, experience in teaching, and regardless all the variable of experience with using facebook.

The study recommended that the school administration should encourage teachers to use social media to probably benefit the educational process.
