Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the extent to which social studies teachers in Farwaniya governorate practice effective teaching skills, and the study population consisted of all of the social studies teachers in secondary schools in the Farwaniya governorate, who numbered (554) by (162) teachers, and (392) teachers, and it was applied in the classroom.

The second academic year of the academic year 2017/2018, when a random sample of (230) teachers was chosen.

A note card was prepared consisting of (45) items divided into five areas (goals, teaching methods, methods and strategies, information technology and human resources, creativity, and evaluation).

The results of the study, after applying the tool, showed that the degree of practice of effective teaching skills was low and attributed to variables of gender, educational qualification or experience.
