It stands to reason that children have distinct characteristics that make them different from adults, Therefore, children-oriented literature must take into consideration a set of characteristics and conditions on several levels, including those related to the author, the form and content of the text, and the context, among others..

In this article, we would like to address, as much as possible, the textuality criteria of the children-directed texts theoretically on the one hand, and then study it through the books of the first and second generation for the fifth year (model) in light of the outcomes of the theoretical study.

It is useful to clarify that this study does not address the two books in terms of how to present and criticize linguistic activities.

However, the center of its attention is the literary texts prepared for students in the two books.
