Our study aims actually to highlight the distancing procedures employed usually in the French-speaking Algerian written press.
In fact, journalists, in order to demonstrate a certain objectivity towards their readers, try as much as possible to distance themselves from their speech by removing their subjectivity in the sake of permitting to the reader to understand that the events occur without the intervention of the journalist.
The analysis of a corpus made up of 200 texts pertaining to an information discourse allowed us to identify some methods of distancing which are generally used to achieve the goal of objectivity.

La présente étude a pour objectif de mettre le point sur les procédés de distanciation dont on fait usage dans la presse écrite algérienne francophone.
Les journalistes, afin de prouver une certaine objectivité à l'égard de leurs lecteurs essaient autant que possible de se distancier par rapport à leur discours en écartant leur subjectivité pour laisser le lecteur entendre que les évènements se présentent sans intervention du journaliste.
L'analyse d'un corpus formé de 200 textes relevant d'un discours de l'information nous a permis de relever quelques procédés de distanciation en usage pour atteindre le but de l'objectivité.
