Arabic Abstract

فاعلية توظيف معمل لغة افتراضي تفاعلي في تنمية مهارات الفهم القرائي والدافعية نحو اللغة الانجليزية لدى طالبات الصف السابع هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة مدى فاعلية استخدام معمل لغة افتراضي تفاعلي في تنمية مهارات الفهم القرائي و الدافعية نحو اللغة الانجليزية لدى طالبات الصف السابع.

و لتحقيق هدف الدراسة اعتمدت الباحثة المنهج شبه التجريبي، تطبيقاً على عينة مقصودة قوامها (٥٠) طالبة من مدرسة دار الأرقم الخاصة للبنات.

و تم تقسيم المشاركين إلى مجموعتين تجريبية و ضابطة، حيث تكونت المجموعة التجريبية من ٢٥ طالبة والمجموعة الضابطة من ٢٥ طالبة.

وتم استخدام الطريقة التقليدية أثناء تدريس المجموعة الضابطة، بينما تم استخدام معمل اللغة الافتراضي مع المجموعة التجريبية.

و قد استخدمت الباحثة أداتين لجمع البيانات الأولى اختبار الفهم القرائي القبلي و البعدي، و الثانية مقياس الدافعية على اللغة الإنجليزية.

و قد أشارت النتائج إلى أن معمل اللغة الافتراضي كان فعالاً في تنمية مهارات الفهم القرائي و الدافع للغة الانجليزية، و أوضحت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسطات درجات المجموعة التجريبية، و كذلك الخاصة بالمجموعة الضابطة على مهارات الفهم القرائي البعدي، و مقياس التحفيز البعدي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية و التي تعزى إلى فاعلية استخدام معمل اللغة الافتراضي.

و بناء على النتائج توصي الباحثة باستخدام المعامل الافتراضية في العملية التعليمية، و خاصة تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية، لما لها من فاعلية مثبتة في تنمية مهارات الفهم القرائي و تحفيز الطالبات على اللغة الإنجليزية.

English Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using Virtual Language Lab on developing reading comprehension skills and motivation toward English among seventh graders.

To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher adopted the quasi- experimental approach, The study was applied on an intentional sample of (50) students from Al - Arqam private school for girls.

The participants were divided onto two groups; the experimental group and control group.

The experimental group consisted of (25) students and the control group consisted of (25) students.

The traditional method was used while teaching the control group, while the Virtual Language Lab was used with the experimental group.

The researcher used (2) instruments to collect data; the first is a pre- post reading comprehension test and the second is motivation scale toward English.

The findings indicated that virtual language lab was effective in developing reading comprehension skills and English motivation, and the study results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the experimental group and those of the control one on the post reading comprehension skills and post motivation scale in favor of the experimental group.

Which was attributed the effectiveness of using virtual language lab.

Based on findings, the researcher recommends using virtual labs in the educational process.

Practically, in teaching English language, due to its proven effectiveness in developing reading comprehension skills and motivating students towards English.
