The study aimed to identify the role of procedural research as an input in the professional development of secondary school teachers in the Central Governorate.

Among the most important findings of the study: 1.

The degree of teacher familiarity with concepts related to procedural research came with a relative weight of (70.143), which is a (large) degree of agreement.

And the degree of preparation of the research procedures plan in full, and it came with a relative weight (64.706), which is a degree of agreement (medium).

2.

The role of procedural research in the professional development of the teacher came with a relative weight (78.271), which is a (large) degree of agreement.

3.

There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the average estimates about the procedural research entrance to the professional development of secondary school teachers due to the variable gender, specialization, and years of service.

There are differences in favor of the academic qualification (postgraduate studies), and in favor of those who have courses Specific to action research.
