The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of using the steam approach in developing the reflective thinking skills of the third year middle school students.

the preparatory unit, the electrical energy and radioactivity unit and the teacher’s guide for its teaching were reformulated according to the steam approach, a test for reflective thinking skills was prepared, then the necessary prerequisites were prepared to conduct the experiment, then the two research groups (experimental-control) were selected from the third preparatory grade students, and a pre-measurement was conducted.

using the aforementioned measurement tool, the experimental group was taught using the steam approach, and the control group members were taught using the usual method, then a post-measurement was conducted, and finally, the data were collected, statistical processing was carried out, and the research results were reached and interpreted, then recommendations and suggestions were made in light of them.
