Abstract EN

The research aims to explore fast-slow thinking in preparatory stage pupils according to various variables : sex (males and females), educational branch (science stream or art stream).

the sample consisted of 381 students, who were chosen using stratified sampling method by probable style.

the fast-slow test was implemented on the sample, the test was made based on the kahenman, 2011 theory and was used after the validity and reliability of the various research tools was ascertained.

after analysis of the data it was shown that preparatory stage pupils have fast-slow thinking, and that here is a statistically significant relationship in the fast-slow thinking according to the sex variable (male-female) in favor of female and the branch variable (scientific- humanistic) in favor of the scientific branch.

the search also showed several recommendations and suggestions.
