Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify : 1-acquisition of physical concepts for middle school students.

2.the differences in the acquisition of physical concepts for middle school students in relation to the gender variable (male-female the researcher relied on the descriptive approach because of its suitability to the goal of the research, and the research sample consisted of 400 male and female students of the third intermediate grade for the academic year 2020/2021.

to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared two research tools, a concept acquisition test consisting of (60) objective paragraphs of the multiple choice type., kewder-richardson equation -20, pearson correlation coefficient, standard deviation, difficulty coefficient and item discrimination coefficient, and the effectiveness of alternatives for objective items), and the results reached : 1.intermediate students have a high degree of acquiring physical concepts.

2.males outperform females in acquiring physical concepts accordingly, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
