Abstract EN

This study aimed to explore the values of globalization embedded in Algerian curriculum.

The sample of the study consists of readings of classbooks of third, fourth and fifth grades in Algerian primary schools.

The researcher develops a special categorization as a tool to analyze the content of the books.

This tool consisted of four domains, based on injlehert and shwartz values model.

The validity of the tool and reliability of the analysis are taken into consideration.

The study reveals the dominance of the values of self-expression and openness to change and self-transcendence, while the values of secular rationality are found to be severly lacking.

The study recommends the necessity of taking more care of the religious and Algerian-family-related values
