According to many researchers, reading is the most important skill in academic studies.
For this reason, graduate and post graduate students in EFL settings are required to read a sizable number of textbooks to gain insights in their subject areas.
Comprehending texts can be accomplished when students are equipped with a number of strategies that assist them in constructing meaning from those texts, which is the ultimate goal in reading in general and academic reading in particular.
