Abstract EN

This research investigated the impact of Dictogloss strategy on ninth graders' critical reading, adopting the quasi-experimental approach for one experimental group consisted of 35 female students.

The Dictogloss strategy was applied on students for 10 sessions within 2 weeks; then the data were collected via a critical reading post-test.

After comparing the differences between the pre and the post-test, findings suggest that there is a wide effect for Dictogloss strategy on 9th graders' critical reading, which leads to recommend applying Dictogloss in teaching English reading skills in the classes and to pay more attention to critical reading skills improving.
