This study aimed to identify the level of consciousness of home economy teachers for their new instructional roles in the developed curricula based on Knowledge Economy (ERfKE) in Amman Governorate.
The study used the descriptive approach, where a questionnaire of (20) items was constructed assessing four dimensions.
The sample of the study consisted of (140) teachers who teached home economy distributed in the public vocational schools for the secondary stage in the academic year 2016/2017.
The results of the study showed that the level of consciousness of home economy teachers for their new instructional roles in the developed curricula based on Knowledge Economy has averaged (3.57) (medium degree).
And at the dimension level , the first rank was the dimension of " student environment " averaging (3.86), secondly, the dimension of "teaching and learning" averaging (3.75), both highly degree (high), thirdly, the dimension of " school and community " at an average (3.45).
The last rank came the dimension of "leadership and management" with an average of (3.20) both with (medium degree).Moreover, Study results showed no statistically significant differences attributed to the scientific qualification and years of service on the total score, while the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the variable years of service for the dimension of "leadership and management" and for those with short experience.
In the light of the results, a number of recommendations were made to increase the level of consciousness of home economy teachers for their new instructional roles in the developed curricula based on Knowledge Economy in Amman Governorate and the Kingdom in general.
