English Abstract
The current thesis aims at identifying the factors affecting the employee’s competency and behavior in the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Gaza strip (Case study: Union of Health Work Committees (UHWC)).
The research population included the fixed-term employees in UHWC.
To achieve the research objectives, the researcher collected data from five centers of the UHWC.
The researcher followed the approach of analytical descriptive as main tool to gather the information.
The total number of the sample was (107); then, )107( questionnaires were distributed as well as )96( were retrieved with a rate of response (89.70%).
The SPSS Program was used for data analysis.
The results showed that the practices of the human resource (employee relations, training and improvement, and recruitment) have high influence on the employee’s competency and behaviour.
The research recommends that the UHWC management should improve the practices of the human resource mentioned above to arise the employee’s competency and behaviour especially human resource strategy and compensation.
In addition to that, the UHWC management should take into consideration the performance appraisal for employees and the employee’s involvement in the organization activities such as participation in planning for training and planning for developing strategies.
