Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify the effectiveness level of moral education in Jordanian Private Schools from teachers perspectives.

Furthermore, the study aimed at exploring if there statistically significant differences in the effectiveness level of moral education in Jordanian Private Schools from teachers perspectives in favor of gender, experience and age.

On the basis of the descriptive analytical method and a random stratified sample comprised (200) teachers, data were collected using a questionnaire consisted of (75) items distributed on (3) domains: teachers behavior and methods of evaluation , classroom, and extracurricular activities as well as goals of education profession.

The results pointed out a high level of moral education effectiveness ( M=4.31).

Ranking the domains of moral education effectiveness in a descending order revealed that goals of education profession domain was ranked first followed by teachers behavior and methods of evaluation methods and finally classroom and extra curricular activities.

Moreover the results underlined statistically significant differences in the effectiveness level of moral education in Jordanian Private Schools in terms of gender in favor of females.

There were statistically significant differences in the domain of goals of education profession between teachers with less than 5 years, and teachers who have more than 15 years for teachers with experience less than 5 years.

While no differences were found that can be attributed to the age of the teacher.

The study recommended activating classroom and extracurricular activities to inculcate moral values among students, increasing training courses to activate the principle of moral education , increasing teachers awareness of the goals of education profession.
